As part of the Shankara Jayanthi celebrations on Sunday April 26th, we are glad to announce Harikatha Upanyasam on Guru Bhakthi starting 11:30 AM, by Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham Asthana Vidwans Needamangalam Selvi Alamelu and Dr V.Subbaraman (www.oothukadu.com), belonging to shishya parampara of Oothukkadu Venkatakavi and Needamangalam Shri Krishnamurthy Bhagavathar. Please join us and receive the blessings of Shri Acharyas.

This year, Shankara Jayanthi falls on Thursday April 23rd. Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation is pleased to announce Shankara Jayanthi Celebrations to be held following Sunday April 26, 2015, at Shri Ganesh Gayathri Temple, 16059 W.151st Street, Lockport, IL 60491.
Program Schedule:
8:00 AM: Guru Vandanam, Maha Ganapathi Puja, Punyahavachanam, Shri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada Pujaarambham, Rudraabhishekam, Upachara Puja, Mathru Panchakam, Thotakashtakam, Shri Bhagavatpadacharya procession, Maha Mangala Harathi
The program will conclude with recitation of Shri Shankara Bhagavatpadacharya’s shlokas and bhajans, including a procession of Shri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpadacharya accompanied by Bhajans and Vedic chanting, and Prasada Viniyogam at 12:45 PM. Children are encouraged to recite Shri Shankara Bhagavadpadacharya’s compositions.
