Shri Shankara Jayanthi celebrations were held in a grand manner on Sunday April 26th at Shri Ganesh Gayathri Temple, Lockport, IL. Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation (KKSF) Midwest Chapter would like to thank our acharya Shri Chandrasekhara Gurukkal for conducting the function, Shri Matam Asthana Vidwans Dr. Subbaraman Bhagavathar and Selvi Alamelu for a wonderful Harikatha Upanyasam on Guru Bhakthi, as well as the accompanying artists Dr Sai Bala and Chi. Sanjay Subramaniam. Many young children participated in shloka recitation during Upachara Puja.The function concluded with a procession of Shri Shankara Bhagavatpadacharya Pallaki followed by Mahamangala Harathi and prasada viniyogam.
We are grateful to all the devotees who made this function possible, including many volunteers who helped with the pushpa alankaram, prasadams, pallaki setup and decoration, and cleanup.
