Call for Articles for Guru Krupa, a Souvenir to be released during MahaRudram,
Aurora, IL, June 9-11, 2017
With the blessings of our Shri Kanchi Acharyas, the Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation (KKSF) Midwest Chapter plans to conduct a MahaRudram event for Loka Kshema and Vishwa Shanthi (June 9-11, 2017) at the Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir in Aurora, IL.
To commemorate this auspicious event, KKSF plans to release a souvenir with relevant articles relating to our Hindu Sanatana Dharma that will complement and reflect the mission of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. We humbly request you to write an article for the souvenir.
Suggested topics include: Adi Shankara and Kanchi Guru Parampara, Bhakthi/devotion, Sastras, Upasana, Punya sthalams and kshetrams, Shri Kanchi Matam, teachings of Shri MahaPeriyava and our present Acharyas, Shri Periyava’s Bharata Desa yatras, Outreach programs/schemes of Shri Matam, etc.This is not an exhaustive list.
Here are some guidelines for the article:
| Language: | English, Samskritam, Hindi, Tamil and other regional languages of India |
| Format: | Articles should be typed using preferably, Microsoft Word.
Pictures (b/w or color) relevant to the topic should be in high resolution. |
| Words: | 750 – 1,000 words; Times New Roman font size 12, single line spacing. Original work will be given preference. |
| Deadline: | · February 28, 2017 – Commitment to contribute
· March 7, 2017 – Submit finalized title for the article · April 7, 2017 – Final article submission by e-mail |
We especially welcome original articles/drawings/paintings from our youth. The submissions of drawings and paintings may be scanned and sent by email.
This souvenir will serve as an invaluable memento to all the devotees who attend the MahaRudram. We strongly believe that an article by you will add immense value to the publication.
