Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation (KKSF) as an organization was founded in 1990 at New York followed by the blessings of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal in order to consolidate the desires of all the devotees of Sri Kanchi Mutt and the vedic students all over US to support several vedic activities and institutions in India. In the past 10 years this organization has reached several great milestones. Devotees from midwest US has done several contributions to this whole concerted effort.
Although forming a separate chapter for midwest took place in fall of 2009, devotees in midwest have been conducting various vedic activities for the past several years under the guidance of Sri Chandrasekhara Gurukkal of Chicagoland. In 2009, when the devotees decided to conduct a Sri Maharudram to celebrate 75th Jayanthi Mahotsvam of Sri Jeyandra Saraswathi Swamigal, the idea of forming a separate chapter came up and this helped to bring all devotees much closer than before. With that in mind, with the blessings of our Acharyas, this chapter successfully conducted a 3-day Sri Maharudram event with 121 ritwiks to chant Sri Rudram on one single day.
Our objective for this chapter is to follow the overall KKSF (USA) objectives by bringing all midwest devotees together to make every vedic event a great success.
